AVL dobby cables are a proprietary construction using only high quality, aircraft-style cabling materials for wear and stretch resistance. All cables are made on the same jigs used for loom production, ensuring the correct length and construction. Each AVL-made cable comes with a full 1-year warranty against defects in construction and materials.
The dobby cable resides in the head and has the characteristic "swage balls" that catch on the slide insert (countermarch dobby), dobby arm insert (positive dobby) or the dobby insert (negative dobby). Cables are unique for each harness and loom type, so please indicate which harness the cable relates to and also provide your loom's serial number.
Ordering Instructions:
- Please select the Harness Number the dobby cable relates to (each is a unique size & swage ball location).
- For multiple cables, you need to add separate items to your cart.
- Positive dobby cables come precut & stripped with the appropriate crimp(s) and thimbal. These cables require a compression tool to assemble the cable in place on the dobby head. If you do not have a compression tool, you can buy one here.
