Product Update: AVLDrive v1.5.7 for Compu-Dobby 5

Officially released on July 24, 2026. This latest update of AVLDrive with Compu-Dobby 5® firmware addresses several bugs and adds quality of life improvements, including:

• Simplified the diagnostics tab for increased clarity by removing the voltage table.
• Potential solenoid issues are now shown on the errors table.
• Improved the evaluation of the self-test data by requiring that both the 5V and 12V results must show the same error or else the error is ignored as spurious.
• Fixed a problem that could cause the zoom buttons to become inoperative. 

Follow these simple steps to update your Compu-Dobby 5® firmware:

1. Establish a WiFi connection between your Compu-Dobby and WiFi router.
2. Select "Check for Updates" in the AVLDrive Utilities tab to initiate the firmware update process.
3. Wait until the process finishes. You will see version number under the AVLDrive title change to 1.5.7.
